QtiSAS Installation Instructions: MAC OS

STEP 1: Program installation

[optional] Move to trash old version of qtisas.app from “Applications” folder
Download *.dmg file: [install-qtisas-20XX-XX-XX.dmg]
Run it [install-qtisas-20XX-XX-XX.dmg]
Drag-and-drop the application [qtisas.app] to the “Applications” folder
Adjust mac-security level to allow execution of the program

The program is now installed…

Drag-and-drop the application [qtisas.app]

STEP 2[optional]: Download of additional files: like fitting functions, SA.S instruments, Colour Maps, Templates, …

Download qtisas.zip via help menu

STEP 3[optional] : First Run:

When QtiSAS is opened, go to Preferences menu and select there QtiSAS tab
Push there button QtiSAS : Path : Change
Select than /Users/xxxx/qtisas/ folder
If you used/use QtiKWS: you could copy files-you-want-to-use-in-qtisas from QtiKWS to qtisas folder

Push button QtiSAS:Path:Change

STEP 4[optional]: GCC compiler (gcc/g++)

In case you want to compile fitting functions you need to install GCC compiler.
GCC is included in Xcode project…

Is it already installed? Try to call “gcc” or “g++” in terminal: if you will get “clang: error: no input files”, GCC c/c++ compiler is installed.
